I worked for a large electronics company as their contracts manager and as a small business owner in both the retail industry and in mediation. In both cases, the management of employees and projects required certain types of expertise. These included excellent listening skills to determine the needs of the client, outstanding negotiating abilities for a “win-win” outcome, as well as, the knowledge of both product and procedure so the process would go smoothly to completion.
